The volunteers involved with Main Street of Perry are the heart of the organization! Each and every person gives their time, energy and ideas to keep Perry's downtown alive and well. Anyone can volunteer and all of our volunteer positions are tailored to suit your interests. We would love to have you visit with us or even sit in on a committee meeting to see what area might be the best fit.
There are many exciting ways to volunteer for Main Street based on your desired level of involvement! The three main ways to volunteer are: General Volunteer, Committee Member and Member of the Board of Directors. Below is some information about each of the categories; Check it out and then fill out the application form available by clicking the button on the left, print the form and bring it by the Main Street Office or Mail it to us (PO Box 188).
General Volunteers get updates and newsletters from Main Street and are called to duty only when the need arises. These volunteers are welcome to attend committee meetings but are not required to. Below is a list of events and projects that Main Street currently needs help with. Sign up for as many as you would like!

- Crazy Days (July & December)
- Movie Nights (Summer)
- Spreading the News about Main Street of Perry (ALL SEASONS!)

There are four Main Street Committees, corresponding to the four points of the Main Street Approach: Design, Economic Restructuring, Organization, and Promotion. Below is the schedule and chairperson for each committee. Meets the Second Tuesday of the month at noon at the Main Street Office.
Economic Restructuring Committee
Meets the Third Wednesday every other month at noon at the Main Street Office. (Call the Office for current scheduling)
Meets the Last Tuesday of the month at noon at the Main Street Office.
Meets the First Tuesday of the month at noon at the Main Street Office.
Board of Directors
Meets at Noon the last Wednesday of each month at the Main Street Office.
Board Members are responsible for overseeing organization policy, approving the annual budget, determining, monitoring and evaluating Main Street goals and securing funding. In addition, each board member serves on one of the Main Street Committees.
Board terms are three years, and one third of the board is up for reelection in any given year. New board members are nominated and elected in June for the following year.
